With the series set to start on Nov. 15, everything I'm A Celebrity-wise is really beginning to heat up. I'm of course not referring to the weather, as this year's competition is being held in Wales rather than sunny Australia due to COVID-19 complications, but anticipation around the new location, trials, and, of course, the celebrity line up is about to reach fever pitch. As mentioned, this year will mark the first time celebs haven't travelled across the globe to be treated to East Australia's warmer climes. Instead, they'll be setting up camp on the north coast of Wales in Gwrych Castle. The venue hosts events all year, including a ghost hunt... so sounds like the celebrities will be shacking up with some supernaturals beings this year.Richard Cowles, Director of Entertainment at ITV Studios, said of the choice of location: "The Australian jungle is such an integral part of the show it was a big challenge to find a UK location where we could continue to deliver what viewers love about I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! But Gwrych will definitely do that."Hosts Ant and Dec are already on-location, but what about the celebrities? ITV is yet to officially announce the 2020 line-up, and we'll update as more info becomes available, but in the meantime here's all we know so far. Actor and comedian Shane Richie is the first rumoured celeb, who according to the Sun is reportedly going into a two-week quarantine ahead of filming in November. "Going to North Wales is less of a huge commitment than flying across the world, so [Richie] jumped at the chance," a source told the newspaper. "ITV are delighted they've managed to convince him to take part." The Sun also reports that Jessica Plummer is heading to Wales following her exit from EastEnders in September, where she played hairdresser Chantelle Atkins. Plummer was also a member of girl group Neon Jungle from 2013 to 2015. The Mirror reported that BBC journalist Derbyshire will be heading into the castle this year, which was backed up by a source who told The Sun: “Victoria is always game for a challenge so when she was approached for I’m A Celebrity she jumped at the chance.” They continued: “When the show moved to Wales and the opportunity came up, she didn’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth so said yes straight away."Olympic legend Mo Farah is set to make his first appearance on reality TV, according to The Sun. The publication reports that he is currently in isolation before filming, and a source told them: “It’s a massive coup for producers to bag Mo for the series. Everyone’s really excited about the signing and think he’ll be a hit with viewers.”The Sun reported that a series of celebs had taken part in a “secret” photoshoot recently, which they claim shows said stars will be taking part in the upcoming series. The first of these is Ruthie Henshall, a West End singer and dancer who used to date Prince Edward. A source told The Sun: “Ruthie is a particularly exciting signing for I’m A Celebrity as viewers will want to see if she divulges any gossip on her relationship with Prince Edward.”Another famous face who was spotted at said photoshoot was Paralympian Hollie Arnold, the javelin-thrower who took home the gold medal at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio.Vernon Kay also appeared at the photoshoot, according to The Sun. It was reported back in July by The Mirror that the presenter had been secured through a lucrative £250,000 deal. The Sun has reported that former Strictly pro AJ can also be expected to hit our screens this year, as he made an appearance at the photoshoot everyone’s talking about currently. However, the star recently batted away these rumours on Lorraine, so it’s looking increasingly unlikely.
